Utah Jazz Fans Have No Class!

I have been watching the whole Los Angeles Lakers Vs. The Utah Jazz NBA Playoffs Series and just want to vent my disgust with the Utah Jazz fans. If you are one of them who booo’s Derek Fisher constantly because he left The Jazz last year to go the L.A. should be smack straight across the face to knock some sense into and make you realize this is ONLY A GAME! THE NBA IS
NOT LIFE OR DEATH and that you should get a life! Utah Fans

If you are not fully aware of the situation I will fill you in. Last season Derek Fisher was the backup point guard for the Utah Jazz and a very critical piece to their success last year. Derek’s daughter was diagnosed with cancer of the eye. After last season He asked the Jazz front office to let him out of his contract so he could play for a city that had better doctors and specialists to help his daughter and make his life easier. The Jazz front office did just that and DESERVES a standing ovation for that decision. That is pure class on their part for letting him out of the contract. Too bad their fans are not cut of the same mold. Derek went on and signed a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers this past off-season teaming back up with the NBA MVP Kobe Bryant and Head Coach Phil Jackson where he won a few championships before.

During the regular season Derek went back to Utah for the first time since leaving and fans poured down with boo’s, Kobe Bryant took it personal as well letting the fans know about it during and after the game how disgusted he was. Now during the playoffs for games 3 and 4 during the pre-game introductions Derek was once again boo’ed and everytime he touched the ball he was boo’ed more so than anyone else except for maybe Kobe. The announcer Mike Tirico of ESPN played it off that he was being boo’ed just because he was on the opposing team. If that was the case whenever any Laker touched the ball like Lamar Odom, Luke Walton etc.. there would have been boo’s but there were not. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing stuff like this and how people can be so idiotic over something so meaningless when looking at the big picture of life. yea I admit when I watch the Buccaneers every sunday I scream at the TV, throw my remote but thats as far as it goes. Jazz fans have crossed the line. This is something that Philly fans would do but I won’t get into their stupidity today because I could literally write a novel about it.

When are fans going to realize these are still human beings not robots out there. They have the same priorities in life as you they have families like you they just are lucky to be able to make millions of dollars playing a game. So my message to Utah fans is GET A LIFE!!!!

The NBA Playoffs Are Here!

NBA PlayoffsThe NBA Playoffs are here. With the western conference tight race toward the end of the season doesn’t seem so tight in the first round of the playoffs so far. The Spurs, Hornets and Jazz all have commanding 2-0 leads in the best of seven series. The Lakers play game 2 tonight against Denver so there is a very good chance all 4 series will be 2-0. As these series shift homecourts it will be interesting to see what takes shape.

Even though the suns are down 2-0 to the spurs that has been a very exciting series. But its a must win for them in game 3 or they will face a 3-0 deficit to the defending champs. Most people including me are dying to see a Kobe vs Shaq western conference finals but that is in serious jeopardy at the moment.

The Jazz and Rockets is probably the most boring of all the series. The Rockets are in the most trouble because they are heading to Utah down 2-0 and the Utah Jazz have been the best in the NBA at home with a record of 37-4 at home. The Rockets 22 game win streak was a fluke. I thought so the whole time. They got a lot of breaks during that streak with an easy schedule and when they played the Lakers they played them without Pau Gasol and Rafer Alston A.K.A Skip to my Lou (Give me a break with that nickname) went off with the best game of his life hitting a ton of 3’s. By the way as a side note players like him ruin the leagues image, but that is another article for another time.

The most compelling series so far though is the Wizards vs Cavs. The Wizards opened their mouths and Lebron is shutting them up. I agree with Stevenson that Lebron is overrated, but for different reasons. You may see a big fight break out in this series or you may see someone get seriously hurt. Game 2 was one of the most physical games I have seen in a long time. It was great but I am hoping that the Wizards can make this a series and win 2 in a row so this goes to game 7. Wouldn’t that be exciting?

The other series in the east aren’t that exciting.. Rasheed is a goof and the Celtics will roll the Hawks. The Raptors are playing the Magic tough so give them credit but there is no excitement there unless one of them is your favorite team. The other 2 western series the Mavs and Hornets is over. The Hornets have dominated them in the first 2 games and should win that series easily. The Lakers and Denver play game 2 tonight and this could turn into something exciting. The Lakers should win this series easily but I see tempers flaring between Kobe and Kenyon. I wouldn’t doubt Kenyon taking a cheap shot at Kobe if in game 4 if the nuggets are down 3-0. It would be interesting to see if AI cries again about being fouled with no call and gets ejected for the 2nd straight game.

I will be back with more on the Playoffs as it unfolds. It should be interesting to see what happens. Lets just hope it becomes more exciting as it goes on. My prediction….. Lakers vs Celtics in the finals…

Ocho Cinco is Going Loco!

Chad Johnson….. what more do you need to say. Tremendous talent on the field and a tremendous nightmare off of it…..Incase you are not aware Chad Johnson is demanding a trade from the Cincinnati Bengals.
He wants out because……well he doesn’t know why he wants out of Cincinnati, but he wants out. His interview a few weeks ago on ESPN was crazy enough and I saw his agent Drew Rosenhaus to day on NFL Live saying he cannot say why Chad wants to be traded that is between him and the Bengals organization. I honestly see another T.O. in the making with this guy. He is all about himself and has this dire need for attention from the media and fans. Just look at his TD celebrations. I think he works more on those then he does studying film and practicing during the week.

You can make the argument it is not affecting his play on the field so who cares….. OK…… point made but think how good he would be if he just focused on playing football instead of devising these celebrations, crossing off CB’s on his list when he had the better game than them and showing the media, coming up with new hair styles like a blonde mohawk…. I admit some of it is very entertaining and good TV but it’s taking away from the main reason he is there… to play football….

See a lot of these guys mainly WR’s like Chad and T.O. only care about one thing… THEMSELVES.. They whine and cry about not winning but they would take their stats of 8 catches for a 100 yards and 2 TD’s in a game that they loss than getting 2 catches for 32 yards and 0TD’s and a win. That is why I do not buy into the fact that it’s about winning. It is never about winning with guys like this… Chad has probably the 3rd best QB in my opinion in the NFL in Carson Palmer throwing to him. Only Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are better. He also has a great counterpart at WR in T.J. Houshmandzadeh to take coverage away from him. Chances are if he does get traded he’s going to go to a place where he does not have a good QB and another good WR to take pressure off of him hence making it harder for him to get the ball, meaning he will be disgruntled there as well.

I mean the poor Bengals, they had a great season a few years ago made the playoffs and then palmer got hurt in the beginning of the playoff game against the Steelers. I believe if he does not get hurt they win that game. Then all the off the field incidents pick up. Arrest after arrest of Bengals players. They should just change their uniforms to all orange like prison inmates. I feel bad for Palmer mainly because he’s a good guy and is wasting prime years away at this asylum. I do not think Marvin Lewis is cut out to be a head coach there. He seems to lenient and nice (like dungy) but doesn’t command the respect Dungy receives from his players. Recently released Chris Henry was a big problem and should have been released awhile ago with all the arrests he has received. I feel sorry for all of you Bengal fans because what looked to be a really bright future just a few years ago now looks be headed toward the old “Bungal” days…
